Vacuum Generators & Ejectors for Robot Vacuum Systems

DevelopRobotic supplies compressed-air vacuum generators, vacuum controls and accessories for robot grippers, pick-and-place units and packaging machines. A vacuum generator (also called a vacuum ejector or venturi vacuum generator) turns compressed air into vacuum, so your suction cups can grip parts without a separate vacuum pump.

How a venturi vacuum generator works

Compressed air flows through a narrow nozzle. As it speeds up, it creates low pressure in the side port, which pulls air out of the suction cup. With no motor and few moving parts, a vacuum generator is compact, fast to respond and easy to mount close to the gripper.

How to choose the right vacuum generator

• Suction flow: higher flow evacuates larger or porous parts faster.
• Vacuum level: smooth, airtight parts need less flow but a deeper vacuum.
• Air consumption: match the generator to your available compressed-air supply.
• Nozzle size and mounting: smaller units suit single cups on a robot arm; larger units suit multi-cup grippers.
• Controls: add vacuum switches, filters and valves to monitor grip and protect the system.

Applications

Robot end-of-arm tooling, carton and bag handling, sheet and panel transfer, packaging lines and automated assembly. If you are not sure which vacuum generator fits your gripper, send us a photo or drawing of the part and our engineers will suggest a suitable setup.
